Saving a Pinterest video pin

Pinterest is full of short how-to clips and ideas, and like the rest, there is no built-in way to save the video file. You copy the pin link and run it through VDFR.

The steps

Open the video pin. Tap the share icon, or the three dots, and choose Copy link. You can also use a pin.it short link. Paste it into VDFR, press Download, and save the file. On a computer, copy the URL from the address bar.

GIFs and idea pins

Video pins download as MP4 files that play anywhere. Pinterest's GIFs are usually short video clips under the hood, so they save the same way.

On your phone

The VDFR app adds Pinterest to the same share-and-save flow as Instagram and TikTok. If you collect a lot of clips, that is the quickest route. VDFR also saves from Instagram and TikTok.
