Saving a Facebook video

Facebook does not give you a download button for videos in your feed, but the videos are there and you can save them with a quick copy and paste, the same as Instagram.

The steps

Find the video on Facebook. Tap the three dots on the post, or open the video, and choose Copy link. On a computer you can right click the video and copy the link, or grab the URL from the address bar. Paste it into VDFR and press Download. Pick HD if you want the sharper version.

What works and what does not

Public videos, Watch clips, and public Reels all download fine. Videos in a private group or on a private profile do not, because VDFR only reaches public content and does not log in for you.

Picking the quality

HD is worth it for anything you will watch on a laptop or TV. For a quick phone watch, SD saves space. The same logic we explained for Instagram quality applies here.
