The watermark problem

TikTok's own save button leaves a watermark on the video, the one that bounces around with the username. If you want a clean copy, you need a tool that pulls the source file before that watermark is stamped on.

How to do it

Open TikTok, find the video, and tap Share. Choose Copy link. Open VDFR, paste the link into the box, and press Download. You get a clean MP4 with no watermark.

On a computer, copy the link from the address bar and paste it the same way.

Why people want the clean version

Mostly so the video looks tidy when they save it for themselves, or move it somewhere else. A word of caution: a clean download does not mean the video is yours to repost. Credit the creator, the same as you would on Instagram.

On your phone

The VDFR app works the same way for TikTok as it does for Instagram. Share a TikTok into the app and it downloads without the watermark. The app saves from Instagram and Facebook too, so it is worth having if you grab videos from more than one app.
